Racking Relocation & Teardown

Moving buildings or clearing floor space? We label, dismantle, transport and rebuild your racking, and buy back whatever you no longer need.

Racking components labelled before a warehouse teardown Every frame and beam is labelled before it comes down, so it goes back up in the right order.
Dismantled racking stacked and strapped for transport Stacked and strapped properly. Racking damaged in transit is racking you pay to replace.
Empty warehouse ready for racking to be rebuilt The new slab has different levels and different anchor requirements. We survey before we rebuild.
Racking rebuilt and in service at the new facility Back up to the engineered spec at the new site, not to whatever happens to fit.
How We Move It

Taken Down Carefully, Rebuilt Properly

Most relocation damage happens on the way down, not on the way up. Rushed teardowns bend frames, and bent frames are scrap.

We survey and photograph the system first, then label every frame, beam and accessory before anything is unbolted. Components are stacked and strapped for transport rather than thrown on a trailer, which is the difference between reusing your racking and rebuying it.

At the new site the system goes back up to the engineered spec, on a slab with different levels and different anchor requirements. Where the layout has changed, we redesign it rather than forcing the old plan into a building it does not fit.

  • Full survey and component labelling before teardown
  • Phased moves so you keep shipping through the change
  • Transport, storage and reinstallation handled by one team
  • Buy-back on surplus racking you no longer need
Typical Projects

When You Need a Teardown Crew

Most of these arrive with a lease date attached. The earlier we walk the building, the cheaper the move gets.

Moving Buildings

The whole operation goes to a new site. We phase the move so one building is still shipping while the other is being built, rather than shutting both.

Floor Reconfiguration

Staying put but changing the layout. Rows come down, aisles get reset, and the system goes back up around how your product moves now.

Consolidating Sites

Two or three buildings becoming one. We work out what racking is worth moving, what is worth selling, and what the new site actually needs.

Lease End Clearance

Landlords usually want the building back as an empty shell. We strip it out, patch the anchor holes and get you your deposit back.

Selling Surplus Racking

Racking you will not use again is worth money, not scrap value. We assess it, make an offer, and take it away as part of the job.

Book the Walk-Through Early

Relocations get expensive when they get rushed. If you know your lease date, get us in months ahead, not weeks. We will survey the system, tell you honestly what is worth moving versus replacing, and price the buy-back on the rest so it comes off the bill rather than onto it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you relocate our racking while we are still operating?

Yes. We can execute facility relocations in phases so that your fulfillment operations can continue running smoothly until the final transfer date.

What happens to damaged steel during a teardown?

During the audit, we flag any compromised or bent components. We can either source replacement parts for the reassembly or help you recycle the damaged material.

Do you buy back surplus racking we no longer need?

Yes. If your new facility requires a different storage footprint, we evaluate your surplus racking and offer competitive buy-back options.
